As women and mother's we're good at putting our kids, husband's and others needs in front of ourselves.
As I look at the women in my life, this has been the majority. Who said this has to be the norm? Ok before I go anymore, yes men can be guilty of this too!
In this year of transformation I'm learning how to invest in myself and these are the 4 ways I'm doing it.

Read a new book
This can be any book. I'm guilty of buying books, reading a chapter or 2 then putting it down never to be picked up again. Now I'm looking for books that really interest me in my current place in life. Right now I'm on this transformation journey so I've found a really great book on self love that I can't put down.
Journal
This takes me back to my high school Dear Diary days but it works. Journaling can give you a chance to clear your mind before going to bed (brain dump), reflect on the highs/lows of the day, anything you want to write about. My journal is basically affirmations. Which brings us to #3.
Affirmations
I got into Affirmations and positive mindset a couple years ago. I not only will write them down, I also repeat them daily and have 2 written on post-its on my mirror. Affirmations are a great way to speak positivity over yourself.
Let go of negative people
This one can be a tough one. If a person doesn't bring you positivity, happiness, help you find joy, share your values or support your aspirations; they're not helping you become a better version of yourself. It's about creating healthy boundaries.
These are just 4 ways I'm investing in myself on this journey called life.
I'd love to hear how you're already investing in yourself.
