Trash or New Beginnings

Updated: Sep 28, 2022

These tires we picked up the other day got me thinking about the saying, one man’s trash is another’s treasure or in this case, new beginning.

These tires were raggedy. They had holes in them, wires coming out, chunks of rubber missing. They were trash in my eyes.

Why would someone pay thousands of dollars for them? Why wouldn’t this company just send them to the dump?

But to this company he was taking them to, they were a new beginning.

My husband told me the company he’s delivering to would melt the rubber down and make new tires from it. Who knew they could do that sort of thing. I knew I didn’t.

After doing a little research, I found out Tire Crumb (as it’s referred to once the old tire is broken down) can also be a gravel substitute, mulch and more. Wow! We learn something everyday.

I said all of this to say, Life is all about perspective.
